What's the hardest part of being a trainer for me? If you know me at all, you'll know it's the constancy of gym clothes. Since embarking on a personal training career, I have spent waaaaaaaay too much time in workout gear. It was a bright 85 out yesterday and I was not feeling one more morning of running errands in training gear. I am loving my new Barton dress from Prana (link here). With second day hair and makeup-free eyes (seriously, can you tell I was considering just covering them from the first photo?), I got it done with this lightweight new best friend. It's made with recycled materials and feels like a dream. Long enough to withstand any Santa Maria spring winds and cool enough to avoid overheating, it's a perfect summer dress. It has zipped pockets which don't add bulk to the hips. Can I tell you how much I love pockets in dresses? Racerbacks are also my jam. Pair it with the perfect accessories from Noonday by Amborak Klosek here. Upcycled Artillery bracelet from Ethiopia and cubed stud earrings from Peru are my go-tos these days. All responsible, fabulous, and reasonably priced quality. What more could a gal ask for? And what would a summery day be without dreamy tunes? Buy the Stranger Kings album here, seriously-do it! You'll thank me for it. Trust.

So, I needed a challenge for my mental and physical health. Along comes the SLO half-marathon to do just that. My team and I are running to raise funds through World Vision to provide access to clean, safe drinking water for communities in Africa. When I want to give up #TeamWorldVision keeps me going. #allisgrace You can help and I won't even ask you to run. Learn more by clicking here. We had the extreme pleasure of watching our friends' adoption finalized. Being that this was winter in California, it called for a sundress with a pop of turquoise from my 31 bits necklace. Thanksgiving with the fam and my mother's unmatched molasses cookies. Dress from Paper Cross, super-reliable leggings from 3 dots, and Michael Kors flats, which have stood up with abuse for the last seven years. Clay is wearing a flannel from Quiksilver and makes it look GOOD. The old faithful, red Banana Republic driving coat keeping the chill at bay with my good-looking sibs. We got a little more time together at Christmas. I love these two! Xmas dress comfort courtesy of LuLaRoe and Star Wars Vans. The highlight of my year is always, always, always a Lyle Lovett show. The hubs surprised me with tickets that had been sold out. Oh, the emotional ups and downs of it all. This acoustic show with John Hiatt was a definite standout. So incredibly good. If you ever get the chance to see these two.........GO!
I wore a denim shirtdress from Ann Taylor and my faithful TOMS wedges with bracelets from 31bits, with a great piece of arm candy. Of course, I had to bring home a new clothing item. #wearitproud |
